In this section, we will configure/modify the Email service settings of the ScanEZ application. Let’s discuss this section in detail.

A step-by-step guide for the configuration of Email service:

Configure the Scan File Functionality
Configure the Google Account
Before setting up the printer, you may need to enable access for 2-Step Verification.
Access your Google account.
Go to Manage your Google Account.
Select the Security section.
Go to 2-Step Verification option and Enable it.
Go to App Password option and create a new app
Copy the generated password.
Configure SMTP Settings in the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
In the EWS, click on the Scan/Digital Sed or Settings tab (depending on your printer model).
In Default Job Options section select Outgoing Mail Configuration or SMTP Server configuration.
Click on Add button.
On SMTP Server Address: Enter smtp.gmail.com. On SMTP Port: Use 465 (for SSL/TLS).
Click on Enable SMTP SSL/TLS Protocol
Validate certificates for outgoing server connections
Click on Server requires authentication
Select Always use these credentials
On User Name: field insert the valid email address from the SMTP configured
On Password field, type the password generated above.
Click on Next button to Verify the Access.

Sender Name
The default sender name is SimpleScanStation. We can change this sender’s name later.
Authentication Type
We have two types of authentication type.
1) Default
2) NTLM
Port
Port of ScanEZ email
SSL Type
We can set it to implicit or explicit.
Enable SSL type
Using this checkbox, we can enable or disable SSL type.
Default Address
Any email you would like to send by default
Default CC
Any email you would like to CC in by default
Default Subject
Default subject emails from ScanEZ will have
Test email server
We can test our email server using this button.

Message Body
All ScanEZ emails will have this message.
ScanEZ will check the connection to the email multiple times throughout the scan process to ensure it can send out the email. These checks can enable/disabled here
Email Authentication
Rather than using a generic email, you can make patrons log in with their own accounts to send emails. You can choose, Gmail, Microsoft, or Facebook accounts for authentication.

We can also enable and disable native browsers for authentication.
Back and Save button
We can save our settings using the “Save” button.
We can go back to our home page using the “Back” button.
